The Obese Beating Obesity!

ObeseMe is a network for morbidly obese men and women to connect and to learn how others have beaten obesity without the risk of weight loss surgery. As a community, we want to learn as much as we can about ourselves and each other so that each person can take control of their weight, their eating, and their life. Not just to lose the weight but to keep it off for life.

Obesity is complex, it is not just a calories in/calories out situation. For each person who has had to live within the prison of a fat suit, there is hope, but freedom takes work.

My name is Carlene Jones. In 2005, I lost 136 pounds in 9 months and was then talked into coaching others to do the same. My method for weight loss was low fat raw food. Although when you ask, I will say raw rawks for fast healthy weight loss, I respect all healthy diets as long as they let you drop that fat suit and move on into a healthy and happy life. I hated obesity, plain and simple. I know you do too, so I want you to find your way, your private journey to success as long as you do it healthfully.

One of my goals for ObeseMe is to compile a database of men and women who have succeeded at losing over a hundred pounds without surgery or drugs or extreme diets like fasting, those that used food, exercise and attitude to reach their goal, and showcase what is possible.

I want to hear from obese teens and adults on their thoughts about their obesity. So we will do surveys and post results here at the site that will hopefully offer insight to parents and young people on how to fix the problem now before morbid obesity becomes their life.

I hope we can build a list of fitness trainers around the world who are open to working with the obese and willing to design programs specifically geared toward men and women who can't see their toes never mind touch them.

All healthy diets and exercise programs will be supported here. In the beginning you may see a higher percentage of raw food dieters, but that is only because that is the diet I am most connected with and will go after people I know or have helped to add their stories. Eventually, we should have a good mix of diet and exercise programs that people have used to succeed.

I want you to make good choices on your weight loss journey. So stay connected with us as we grow into the premier on-line site for the morbidly obese.

We are just getting started, so join our mailing list which is separate from Raw Food Boot Camp®, tell your obese friends, your trainers, and those you know who have lost over 100 pounds to become part of what we hope to accomplish.

ObeseMe does not support weight loss surgery, drugs, or liquid diets. Food, exercise and the desire to change are the only paths to a lifetime of health and well-being.

I do recognize that many who have had weight loss surgery and either gained the weight back, had the surgery reversed, or did not lose enough weight will have their own stories to tell. We would also like to hear from you.

We do have the power to take responsibility for our weight. It is not easy, but it can be done by anyone who truly wants to do it.

The obese helping the obese. I have said it for years. No one knows or understands us the way we do. Together we can change...forever.
